Sometimes I feel like I just need a bit of a jolt. Instead of grabbing coffee, I find that a nice green juice can do the trick. Especially after indulging in a few Halloween snacks, I felt like I needed it today!
Here’s my thing with juicing. I think juice fasts are NOT the way to go. I think there is a lot of hype around juicing, and people seem to take an “all or nothing” approach when it comes to it. I think juicing is a great ADDITION to a healthy diet. So yeah, I eat lots of veggies during the day, and enjoy juicing as a sort of homemade multivitamin. So think of juicing as a nice addition rather than a cure all. You can’t get around eating your veggies folks!
- One apple
- Two handfuls of kale
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1/2 carrot
Easy. Just put all these ingredients in a juicer. Top with chia seeds. Why chia seeds? Well why not?! Chia seeds are a good source of omega 3 and fiber. Omega 3s are good for brain health. So yeah. It’s good.
